In order to fulfil our vision of building a connected portal to support the Black tech community, we strongly believe in the need for collaboration with other Black-led networks and organisations who are already doing great work in the space. And so, we’re excited to announce our new partnership with Black Girls In Tech.
BGIT’s mission is to create community, resources and opportunities for Black women in tech. Founded in 2020 by Karen Emelu, Orianna Uchempong and Valerie Oyiki, BGIT has launched a mentoring scheme, hosted a range of events and created Black Girls In Tech: Nigera, a sister organisation based in Nigera.
We look forward to working with their amazing team to drive meaning change for Black women entering and working in the tech industry.
